Ynonne Frost: Wicca

Yvonne and Gavain Frost

Yvonne Frost (1931-) &
Gavin Frost (November 20, 1930 - September 11, 2016)

Yvonne Frost, cofounder of the Church and School of Wicca, was born Yvonne Wilson in Los Angeles, California. Raised a Baptist, she rejected her childhood faith as a teenager and became a spiritual seeker. She read books on comparative religion, but put her quest somewhat on hold in 1950 when she married. She divorced in 1960 and returned to school. She earned an associate's degree from Fullerton Junior College in Fullerton, California, in 1962. Following her graduation she took a job with an aerospace company in Anaheim, where she met her future husband, Gavin Frost. By this time she had become involved in Spiritualism, and she and Gavin began to participate in psychic development classes at a local Spiritualist center.

A short time later they moved to St. Louis to take new jobs and while there, in the late 1960s, were initiated into Witchcraft. They began to write and prepared the text of a book. Unable to find a publisher, they hit upon the idea of editing the material as a set of lessons that could be offered to people through a correspondence course. Ads were placed in occult periodicals. Within a short time they organized the School of Wicca and then the Church of Wicca. In 1970 Yvonne married Gavin and assumed the role of bishop in the church.

In 1974 the Frosts moved to New Bern, North Carolina, where the church and school headquarters was relocated. The book that she and Gavin had written was eventually published in 1975 as The Witch's Bible. It met a storm of controversy generated by witches who disagreed with much of it, especially its downplaying of the centrality of the Goddess, considered by many witches as the central affirmation of their religion.

Over the next two decades Frost provided leadership for the church and school and coauthored a number of books on witchcraft and magic with her husband. In the 1990s she moved into retirement.

We pray for Yvonne Frost but chance there is, it is too late and she is a reprobate. We pray not but all indicators point in that direction. She needs Jesus like we all do. She is getting closer to eternity and we hope and pray she repents of witchcraft and turns to the Biblical Jesus.

About Me: Dr Jeremy Cox

About Me

I’m Dr. Jeremy D. Cox, a freelance webmaster and digital strategist based in North Alabama. For more than seventeen years, I’ve helped ministries, schools, and community organizations communicate with clarity, purpose, and excellence in the digital world. My work blends technical skill with a heart for service, creating websites and branding that reflect each organization’s mission and identity.

I specialize in building clean, accessible, mission‑driven websites using platforms like WordPress, Squarespace, Google Sites, Weebly, Hostinger, and more. Whether I’m designing a logo, shaping a school’s visual identity, or developing a full online presence for a church or nonprofit, my goal is always the same: to help people tell their story well.

My approach is hands‑on, thoughtful, and collaborative. I value honest communication, strong design, and solutions that make a real difference for the people who use them. Every project is an opportunity to serve — to strengthen ministries, support educators, and equip communities with tools that help them grow.

Technology is a ministry tool. When used with purpose, it can reach people, strengthen communities, and open doors for transformation.

I use my knowledge of HTML to structure websites and CSS to design them. I don't know JavaScript, but I may learn it one day. I started designing websites 18 years ago. I have used the following Content Management Systems (CMS):

I have taken the following online courses:

I am a web designer who uses my HTML and CSS expertise to create visually appealing and well-structured websites. Although I currently lack knowledge of JavaScript, I aspire to learn it in the future. My journey in website design began 18 years ago, and since then, I have volunteered with various content management systems (CMS) to enhance my skills and efficiency.
