The Bibllical Jesus

THE BIBLICAL JESUS

1. He is Eternal God

Scripture doesn’t start with Bethlehem — it starts in eternity.

  • “In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God.” (John 1:1)
  • “Before Abraham was, I AM.” (John 8:58)

Jesus is not a created being. He is God, co‑equal, co‑eternal with the Father.

2. He is the Creator

The Bible is explicit:

  • “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” (John 1:3)

The carpenter from Nazareth is the One who spoke galaxies into existence.

3. He is the Promised Messiah

From Genesis to Malachi, the Old Testament points forward to Him.

He fulfills prophecy:

  • Born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14)
  • Born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2)
  • Line of David (2 Samuel 7:12–13)
  • A suffering servant (Isaiah 53)
  • A miracle‑working teacher (Isaiah 35:5–6)

The Biblical Jesus is the long‑awaited Christ.

4. He is Fully God and Fully Man

The incarnation is not half‑and‑half — it is two complete natures in one Person.

  • “The Word was made flesh.” (John 1:14)
  • He hungered, wept, slept, grew, and suffered.
  • Yet He forgave sins, calmed storms, and accepted worship.

This is the hypostatic union — the heart of Christian theology.

5. He is the Sinless Savior

The Biblical Jesus is morally perfect.

  • “Who did no sin.” (1 Peter 2:22)
  • “In him is no sin.” (1 John 3:5)

His sinlessness makes His sacrifice sufficient.

6. He is the Lamb of God

His mission was not political revolution but atonement.

  • “The Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10)
  • “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29)

The Biblical Jesus dies in our place, bearing wrath we deserved.

7. He Truly Died — and Truly Rose

His human nature died; His divine nature did not.

  • “Christ died for our sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:3)
  • “He rose again the third day.” (1 Corinthians 15:4)

The resurrection is not metaphor — it is historical, bodily, victorious.

8. He is the Only Way to God

The Biblical Jesus is not one option among many.

  • “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

Exclusive. Absolute. Unapologetic.

9. He is the Returning King

The same Jesus who ascended will return.

  • “This same Jesus… shall so come in like manner.” (Acts 1:11)
  • Revelation presents Him as the conquering King of kings.

The Biblical Jesus is not passive — He is coming again in glory.

In One Sentence

The Biblical Jesus is the eternal God made flesh, the sinless Savior who died and rose again, the only way to salvation, and the soon‑coming King who will judge and reign forever.
